Dear praying friends,

I am having one of those days…”fire-breathing dragons and damsels (ie. mothers) in disress” kind of days. So on days like today, I need to pull out my Sword and remind myself of the truth (thus the verse below).

As I was meditating on this verse, I reflected on a photo assignment my daughter Charity just finished yesterday for her photography class. She was asked to take a picture of something to do with rain.

This is the idea she came up with—it was a real team effort between her, Megan and John. The cheeriness of the subject not only brought a smile to my face, but was a picture to me of how God, through the power of His indwelling Spirit and inspired Word enable us to have His joy, even when it’s raining…or storming, hailing, sleeting – you get the idea.

Thanks for your prayers for us, and I hope you enjoy these pics!

God is good…ALL the time,

“But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, for You has been my stronghold, and a refuge in the day of my distress.” ~Psalm 59:16

“John knows not to get me wet, right?”

“I can still see the sun…”

“The joy of the Lord is my strength!”
