Dear praying friends,
Thank you for praying for all the details to be worked out for Chris and Joseph to head down to Miracle Mountain! They will be on the road for about 7-8 hours (with stops) and are scheduled to check in to the clinic around 6:30 pm.
Yesterday, Megan and Susanna packed the car with lots of groceries and supplies, while Jesse and Joseph packed Chris’ bags. Charity updated Chris’ MP3 player with lots of wonderful praise music and the recorded Bible, and John and Amy picked lots of fresh vegetables from the garden for the guys to enjoy (and Chris to juice). I’m operating as command central and rallying the troops. Forward, march!
I am so proud of all the kids chipping in and helping make this a joint venture. May God bless all the preparations and keep our hearts close while we are apart.
Lord, go with them and keep them safe on the road, especially the winding roads of the mountains of North Carolina!
Items for praise & prayer:
Thanks to the Lord for–
~helping all the supplies get purchased, organized, loaded
~all the help from the children and for Joseph coming alongside Chris all day yesterday learning the ropes
Thanks to our wonderful friends and family praying for us through the weekend and these next weeks.
Prayer needed for–
~safety on the road and timely arrival for check-in; time of worship, prayer & fellowship on the way down
~that all the needs Chris has in his lodging there would be met (bed height good, ability to get in and out of bed without a lot of trouble, bathroom size to get in and out, room to get around the trailer on the scooter, etc.)
~that the wi-fi would work well for Chris’ work and communication can continue
~that the x-ray report which we’re still trying to get from the hospital would get faxed to Miracle Mountain today or at the latest tomorrow morning so that treatments can start
~that Chris & Joseph would be anxious for nothing, but have God’s peace and a strong sense of His presence with them as they travel, get checked in and settled
I’ll send another update this evening after they’ve arrived. Thank you for praying! May the Lord give you sweet times of worship and hearing the Word in your local congregations this morning.
“Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And besides Thee, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” ~Psalms 73:25-26
